A lever and spring system, using a cascade quick-action switch, allows for vibration-free switching. When there is no pressure on the sensor element, contact 1-2 closes. This can be used as an “ON” signal for a pump or compressor.
When the pressure exceeds the upper switching point, contact 1-2 opens and contact 1-4 closes. The connected motor is turned off. Contact 1-4 is often used as an “OFF” switch.
Contact 1-2 closes again when the pressure drops below the predetermined lower switching point. The upper and lower switching points can be adjusted independently using a screwdriver. Both switching points are clearly visible on the scale.
